The clearest scriptures on Salvation

Salvation by Grace through Faith

Ephesians 2:8-9 states, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." This scripture clearly teaches that salvation is not something that can be earned through our own efforts or good works. It is a gift from God that we receive through faith.

In Romans 3:23-24, we read, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." This passage teaches us that we are all sinners and fall short of God's perfect standard. But, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can be justified and made right with God. This justification is not something we can earn, but it is freely given to us by God's grace.

In Titus 3:5, we read, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." This scripture teaches us that salvation is not something we can achieve through our own righteousness or good deeds. Instead, it is according to God's mercy that we are saved. It is through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit that we are made new and able to live a life that is pleasing to God.

The doctrine of salvation by grace through faith is clearly taught throughout the Bible. We cannot earn our salvation through our own efforts or good works. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ and the grace of God that we can be saved. As believers, we must trust in Jesus Christ and the work that He has done on our behalf. We must also live a life that is pleasing to God, not to earn our salvation, but as a result of the salvation that we have already received.
